Gerrymandering is something I have been fighting against for years, which is why I did not support the Texas redistricting plan. Having said that, maps in California are already gerrymandered, and Gov. Gavin Newsom plans on gerrymandering them further, yet this is the post he just put on X…

Would you support a single non-partisan commission that would be tasked with drawing up state maps based on the percentage of voters for each party, with the remaining districts staying true battleground districts where independent voters would decide congressional seats, or do you support the current system that opens itself up for blatant gerrymandering by both parties? It took centuries of sacrifice to build this Republic, but we are seeing that it only takes a few years of radical ideology to tear it apart. Sylvia, I agree, which his why I have been sounding the alarm in the wake of the disastrous 2025 cycle. This fight starts now because if we accept the 2025 results as no big deal, we are doomed to fail moving forward. We simply cannot allow Democrats to take complete control of our government because we may never get it back if we do.
