Democrats call on military to refuse Hegseth's orders

Democrats resist all things Donald Trump, but they have just taken things a step too far.

A group of Democrats has just posted a video on social media asking members of our intelligence agencies and military to defy orders given to them by Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

That is treason, as these Democrats are now blatantly trying to use these individuals to create chaos in our government.

The video

We all disagreed with a lot of the orders that were given by former Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, but I would never have dreamed of telling our troops to defy those orders unless they were clearly and indisputably over the line.

Yet, a rather large group of Democrat members of Congress who have previously served in the intelligence community or the military just asked those currently working in those realms to commit treason by defying Hegseth and Trump's orders…

I get that Democrats don’t agree with what Trump is doing in terms of National Guard deployments and drug cartel strikes, but this is not the way to go about countering him.

I can guarantee you that any service member who refuses such orders would be court martialed, but that is not even close to the damage that could be done here. Just sowing the seed of the idea that you can defy an order simply because one side of the aisle does not like it would sow so much chaos in our military, undermining every subsequent command given.

Calling out Democrats

Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) responded to the video, "At the end of the day, they’re mad the American people chose Trump and now they’re calling on the Military and Intelligence Community to intervene. Sounds a little ‘subversive to democracy’-ish.”

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) added, "It is inconceivable that you would have elected officials that are saying to uniform members of the military who have taken an oath to protect and defend, that they would defy the orders that they have been given to execute their mission.”

She added, "I find this just so disturbing, that they would say, ‘defy the orders if you do not like the orders.’"

I am with Blackburn on this one, as I think Democrats are setting a dangerous precedent, but we all know why they are doing it… they want chaos.

More responses pour in

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegsethy responded, “Stage 4 TDS,” but I really wish he had given a more in-depth response because this is not something we can laugh off with a snide comment.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) responded, “I find no evidence that President Trump or anyone in your chain of command has issued an unlawful order to you.”

We know that the relevant committees were updated on Trump's latest strategies, and some Democrats on those panels came away satisfied with the intelligence presented, and I thought that fact would put this to bed, but apparently not.

This is simply Democrats doing whatever it takes to regain power, even if they have to sacrifice the careers of military members to do it. I just cannot comprehend the level of damage being done to the chain of command here, and these lawmakers should all know better than to encourage what it is that they are suggesting… literally, treason.
