Thought of the Day

I am going to follow Ronald Reagan with a quote from Milton Friedman on elections:

"I do not believe that the solution to our problem is simply to elect the right people. The important thing is to establish a political climate of opinion which will make it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing."

I found that quite particularly interesting because that is what both sides believe they are doing right now. The GOP is trying to pass a clean continuing resolution (CR) to reopen our government, while Democrats hold the CR hostage over desired healthcare subsidies. So, who is right and who is wrong?
