Today, I used a quote from Abraham Lincoln about public unrest, then followed that up by asking our readers if they think these shootings would have taken place if Democrats were not whipping up their supporters to believe that ICE is the Gestapo. Our comment today comes from Gordon E. out of Washington, who responded:

“Lincoln hits on a truth that the modern Left is desperate to ignore: there is no ‘justice’ in a mob. The Democrats played a dangerous game by demonizing ICE, comparing American law enforcement to the ‘Gestapo’ just to score cheap political points. Words have consequences.

“When you convince people that federal agents are evil incarnate, you embolden the unstable to take violent action. This tragedy wasn't an accident; it was the inevitable result of reckless rhetoric from leaders who cared more about a soundbite than the safety of our officers.”

Gordon, I agree, and have been predicting this from the outset. I firmly believe any blood in the streets falls in the lap of Democrats. Yet, they are only raising the hate instead of trying to dial it down.
