Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has been relentless in her efforts to remove criminal illegals from this country.
Regardless of how much pushback she receives, she continues to press forward as though she cannot hear the pleas coming from liberals.
Noem is surely going to get liberals' goats this time, having announced 150 arrests in “Operation Dirtbag.”
To understand the situation better, we can go back to the first instances in California where DHS and ICE were being shown the door by Democrats.
When local politicians demanded that ICE leave their jurisdictions, Noem fired back, "As you know, we've seen two under this last week, some operations that have been working to bring in criminals that have been out on our streets for far too long.”
She continued, “Our DHS and ICE individuals have been out conducting operations with our government partners to make sure that these criminals, bad actors, murderers, rapists, pedophiles, traffickers and drug traffickers are brought in and brought to justice.”
Federal agents remained in California, and they have also continued to do workplace raids netting hundreds of arrests. Every time these successes are announced, the left melts down even more.
Noem has apparently embraced Trump’s tendency toward sensationalism in naming her roundup operations.
The formal name of the recent operation was “Operation Criminal Return,” but Noem has a pet name for it.
She stated, “This operation was called Operation Criminal Return. I call it Operation Dirtbag, because these individuals were sex offenders, but not just sex offenders, they targeted children. These 150 individuals will be gone off of our streets. Our kids will be safer.”
Noem later added, “These individuals should have never been in our country to begin with. The fact that they were sexual deviants and perverts, and now we’ve gotten them off of our streets, it’s remarkable. And we need to do more of it.”
Noem has also been a fierce defender of Trump, and she just went after Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker for having called Trump “demented.”
Pritzker previously stated, "He still thinks Chicago is someplace that's on fire, like he says about Portland. The man is demented. He really has no idea what he's doing." He was commented on a post made by Trump where Trump mistakenly referred to the Magnificent Mile shopping area as the “Miracle Mile Shopping Center in Chicago.”
Noem responded, “Governor Pritzker’s personal attacks against President Trump put his people in jeopardy each and every day. I’m so thrilled with the results we’ve had in Chicago, and we’re gonna surge more resources there.”
If I were Noem, I would just leave it up to Trump and the White House to defend the president. The moment anyone else opens up their mouth, the media finds a way to use it against Trump, just as they did in this case. Just keep doing what you are doing, Secretary Noem, and concentrate on tracking down and removing illegals from this country. Dems can cry all they want, but numbers don’t lie.
