Fox News star Kat Timpf told a packed comedy crowd she is pregnant with her second child, months after beating breast cancer and losing her father.

The New York Post reported that Timpf broke the news to a live audience over the weekend, then posted an Instagram clip Wednesday night spinning with her shirt partly lifted to show her stomach.

The 37-year-old stand-up comic and regular on “Gutfeld!” thanked roughly 1,500 fans for keeping the secret. She lives in Manhattan with her husband, Cameron Friscia, and their young son.

“Are you guys surprised? So was I,” Timpf told the crowd in the clip.

“I shouldn’t have been though, ‘cause I’m married to a veteran and the army always does seem to take a while to pull out of something,”

Her Instagram caption struck a warmer note: “Huge thanks to the 1,500ish besties at my show this wknd for keeping my secret. So awesome to be the portal for a new little soul.”

Cancer diagnosis hit 15 hours before labor

The pregnancy arrives after a brutal stretch. In February 2025, doctors diagnosed Timpf with ductal carcinoma in situ, stage-zero breast cancer, and she went into labor 15 hours later. She gave birth to a son whose name the family has kept private.

She underwent a double mastectomy in March 2025 and was declared cancer-free the next month. Breast reconstruction followed in July. Later that year she visited a Maryland artist who specializes in 3D nipple tattoos.

Fans who follow Fox News personality updates already knew pieces of that medical timeline from her earlier posts and appearances.

In a June Instagram message she put the year in plain terms.

“So, everyone knows I’ve had a really rough year last year, diagnosed with breast cancer, 15 hours later went into labor, gave birth to my son, had a double mastectomy,”

She added that her father helped her through it all, then died.

“My dad helped me through the whole thing. Then, two months after my son’s first birthday, my dad just dropped dead, so it’s been really hard.”

Father’s sudden death compounded the year

Daniel Timpf died unexpectedly on May 7 at age 69. She had described him as seemingly healthy and strong. The loss came while she was still recovering from surgery and adjusting to life with a newborn.

Timpf, who is from Detroit and graduated from Hillsdale College, built her career the hard way. Early work at The Washington Times led to Fox News roles on “Gutfeld!,” “Fox & Friends,” and “The Five,” plus the former podcast “Tyrus and Timpf.”

Network watchers tracking lineup moves at Fox News know how often those shows reshuffle talent; Timpf has remained a steady comic voice through it.

She met Friscia, a former Army Ranger who served in Afghanistan, on the membership dating app Raya. They announced their engagement in August 2020 and married in a small ceremony in May 2021. He most recently worked in investment banking, according to a since-deleted LinkedIn profile.

Other Fox names have shared raw personal chapters on air and in print, from hosts detailing private fallout in new books to anchors navigating public pressure. Timpf’s update fits that pattern of candor without turning her family into a prop.

Second child arrives after hard-won recovery

She keeps at least three pets at home, a cat named Cheens, a dog named Carl, and a one-eyed rescue cat called Juan. The household already knows noise and chaos. A second baby will add more of both.

Major departures and shake-ups elsewhere at the network, including coverage of longtime anchors leaving their shows, underscore how rare it is for on-air talent to speak this openly about illness, grief, and new life in the same breath.

Timpf did not give a due date. She did not stage a glossy studio reveal. She told a room of paying comedy fans first, cracked a military joke about her husband, and thanked them for staying quiet until she was ready.

After cancer surgery, reconstruction, and the sudden loss of the father who steadied her, the announcement lands as a simple claim on the future. Family still comes first when the cameras are off and the crowd has gone home.
