Fox News commentator Kat Timpf revealed she is expecting her second child, delivering the news onstage at a comedy show after a year that included a cancer diagnosis, major surgery, and the unexpected loss of her father.
Timpf, 37, broke the news to roughly 1,500 audience members during a live stand-up set over the weekend, then shared a clip on Instagram Wednesday night. The video showed her spinning around with her shirt partially lifted to reveal her stomach. Her caption kept the tone light: "Huge thanks to the 1,500ish besties at my show this wknd for keeping my secret. So awesome to be the portal for a new little soul."
The announcement caps a stretch that would test anyone. In February 2025, Timpf was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ, stage zero breast cancer, a form in which abnormal cells are found in the lining of a breast duct but have not spread. Fifteen hours after that diagnosis, she went into labor and delivered her first child, a son whose name she has kept private. A month later, in March 2025, she underwent a double mastectomy. By April, doctors declared her cancer-free.
Timpf's recovery did not slow down. She had breast reconstruction surgery in July 2025, and later traveled to Maryland to visit an artist who specializes in 3D nipple tattoos, a procedure some mastectomy patients pursue as part of reconstruction.
Then came a different kind of blow. Her father, Daniel Timpf, died unexpectedly on May 7 at age 69. Timpf described him as "seemingly healthy, strong." In a June Instagram post, she laid out the toll plainly.
"So, everyone knows I've had a really rough year last year, diagnosed with breast cancer, 15 hours later went into labor, gave birth to my son, had a double mastectomy. My dad helped me through the whole thing. Then, two months after my son's first birthday, my dad just dropped dead, so it's been really hard."
She added simply that she had "been going through a lot." Earlier this year, she publicly revealed her father's death for the first time.
Timpf grew up in Detroit and earned a bachelor's degree from Hillsdale College, the small Michigan liberal-arts school known for its conservative orientation and refusal of federal funding. She started her media career at The Washington Times before joining Fox News, where she became a regular on Greg Gutfeld's late-night show "Gutfeld!" and appears on "Fox & Friends" and "The Five." She also co-hosted a Fox News podcast, "Tyrus and Timpf," alongside professional wrestler Tyrus.
Beyond television, Timpf has built a stand-up comedy career, the same circuit where she chose to share her pregnancy news before posting it online. The crowd of about 1,500 heard it first.
The New York Post reported that Timpf addressed the audience directly in the clip: "Are you guys surprised? So was I." She followed with a joke about her husband, Cameron Friscia, a former Army Ranger who served in Afghanistan and most recently worked as an investment banker.
"I shouldn't have been though, 'cause I'm married to a veteran and the army always does seem to take a while to pull out of something."
Timpf and Friscia connected on Raya, the exclusive, membership-only dating app popular with celebrities and public figures. They announced their engagement in August 2020 and married in a small ceremony in May 2021. The couple lives in Manhattan with their son and at least three pets, a cat named Cheens, a dog named Carl, and a one-eyed rescue cat called Juan.
No due date or other details about the second pregnancy have been disclosed. The announcement came entirely through Timpf's own comedy show and social media, no official statement from Fox News accompanied it.
After cancer, surgery, reconstruction, and burying her father in the span of roughly a year, Timpf delivered the news the way she knows best, onstage, with a joke. Not everyone gets knocked down that many times and keeps showing up. Fewer still walk back out under the lights.
