A recent video made by a group of Democrats urging servicemembers to defy Trump’s orders has been all over the internet and dominating news cycles right now.
The Democrats who made the video have become rock stars in the liberal media, as they are dominating cable news and late-night TV.
Yet, their entire narrative is bogus, and one of them has already admitted it. CNN’s Scott Jennings also just put a former DNC official on the spot, and she had no answers for him on live TV.
After the video was made and Trump reacted, it was later announced that the FBI was opening a probe into the actions of those who participated in its creation.
Several Democrats in the House reacted to the probe, stating, "No amount of intimidation or harassment will ever stop us from doing our jobs and honoring our Constitution.”
Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), one of the Democrats who appeared in the video, blasted Trump, stating that the president is "certainly outrageous and unpredictable. I don't think he understands the Constitution.”
Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) added, "The president's reaction and the use of the FBI against us is exactly why we made the video. He believes in using the federal government against his perceived adversaries, and he's not afraid to use the arms of the government against people he disagrees with.”
I believe she is only being half-honest in that statement. They made that video to elicit a response from Trump, in my opinion, and they got it. This was nothing more than a despicable political stunt.
To my point, in one of the many interviews she has given on this issue, Slotkin was asked to name the illegal order that Trump has issued that should be defied.
She responded, "To my knowledge, I am not aware of things that are illegal, but certainly there are some legal gymnastics that are going on with these Caribbean strikes and everything related to Venezuela.”
Okay, so if you don’t know of any illegal orders, then why issue the video?
They did the video because they don’t like the strikes, but they should not be using military personnel as pawns to score political points, and that is what they did here.
Jennings went head-to-head with former Democratic National Committee spokeswoman Xochitl Hinojosa, who was trying to defend the Democrats in the video. As she was going on her rant, Jennings asked her, “Wait, can I ask you a question? Stop what? You said they want them to stop. Stop what?”
She responded that Trump wanted to stop them from “speaking out,” to which Jennings responded, “So you said, ‘speaking out against Trump.’ So you’re saying that you believe that inherent in the video is that Donald Trump has given illegal orders?”
Jennings then went off on her, adding, “If it’s speaking against Trump, then you took the message the way they intended it. You took it the way they intended it, which is that Trump has given illegal orders. And you can’t name one and nobody else can.”
Hinojosa then tried some verbal gymnastics, but it was clear that Jennings had her dead to rights and exposed this as nothing more than a political stunt. It’s a created narrative and nothing more. And I will continue to crush Democrats for this despicable act while they continue to try to make it a “thing” in the media.
