Zohran Mamdani's mayoral win in New York City is starting to really shake up the Democrat Party.
I recently wrote a report on his victory is giving rise to a resurgence of the Communist Party of the USA, but there is far more to it than that.
We are starting to see a real power struggle as to who will take the lead in the Democrat Party moving forward.
Mamdani's victory was the most notable part of this broader movement toward socialism, but it was really just one piece of the puzzle.
My regular readers know I believe our enemies want to infiltrate the government from within, and the fastest way to do that is not by gaining seats in Congress, but rather by taking cities over one at a time.
That is what we are seeing in cities like Minneapolis and Atlanta, where socialists are winning city council seats more regularly than ever. The progression is to then take over as the mayor, which is the path that Mamdani took.
Socialism is like a sneeze, a cough, or a small cut. It starts as a nuisance, but if you don’t address it, it could turn into something far more severe.
CPUSA has been a non-factor in this country for decades, but it is back, and its members are winning seats in cities around the country.
They are appealing to people who don’t like the current state of the Democrat Party and promoting the idea that the party will never change enough to their liking, so they need to get their own people in place.
In recent elections, CPUSA candidates have notched three victories, which is about three times as many as they had several decades ago when they popped onto the scene.
CPUSA co-chair Joe Sims stated, “The Communist Party believes that capitalism needs to be replaced fundamentally.” He later added, “Socialists believe they can function within the framework of the Democratic Party.” He continued, “We don’t believe the Democratic Party can be reformed.”
I worry about this because of the natural progression from socialism to communism. In my opinion, socialism is nothing more than a politically correct way of framing communism.
Today, it seems like far too many younger Democrats are pushing socialist ideals, which go against everything our Founding Fathers imagined when they began building the nation.
The win by Mamdani and other socialists has started an uprising, to the point that we have even seen Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) take over a press conference initially led by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and criticize him over how he was handling expressions of support for socialist candidates.
In California’s 22nd Congressional District, Democrat Randy Villegas is running for a House seat and has Sanders’ endorsement already, and he is not being shy about criticizing the Democrat Party's leadership. He stated, "Here in the Central Valley, we couldn't care less about political labels. We care about being able to see a doctor without going bankrupt and being able to feed our families without needing a second job. We're sick of politicians in both parties selling us out to billionaires and corporations. Any politician who isn't fighting for working families like our lives depends on it needs to get out of the way."
This, to me, is akin to what we saw when Trump came on the scene in 2016, and the MAGA movement got its start, then took over the broader GOP. If this socialist movement gets that same kind of grip, we are staring down the barrel at a true threat to our constitutional ideology. We cannot just sit back and hope that the Democrat Party rips itself to shreds because, eventually, one side will cave and allow the other to take the lead, and the socialists appear to have the numbers right now, and they are quickly gaining grip in this country.
