Thought of the Day

My regular readers know that the national debt is a bit of an obsession of mine, and it makes me sick to see that debt clock continue to go the wrong way while politicians recklessly waste our taxpayer dollars. Thomas Jefferson addressed this, stating:

"The principle of spending money to be paid by posterity, under the name of funding, is but swindling futurity on a large scale."

If we continue down this path, we not only damn future generations, but we are getting dangerously close to risking our national security. A nation in debt offers opportunities for foreign countries to sink their talons into the country. This issue must be addressed, and it must be addressed by this administration. We cannot continue to kick this can down the road.
