Hearing goes off the rails as Kennedy pushes back against Democrat senators

Generally speaking, congressional hearings are boring and predictable, but that was not the case today.

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was in the hot seat.

While most people called to testify will sit there and take whatever the senators dish out, Kennedy came to play, and boy did he create a stir.

The revolt

Before we get into the hearing, I want to discuss a few fields of resistance that Kennedy has been facing that led to today's conflagration on the Hill.

First, there are several West Coast governors pushing back against Kennedy's recent vaccine rules.

California, Oregon, and Washington have all decided to create their own guidance for vaccine use since they don’t like what Kennedy has come up with.

The HHS seccretary responded, "Democrat-run states that pushed unscientific school lockdowns, toddler mask mandates, and draconian vaccine passports during the COVID era completely eroded the American people’s trust in public health agencies.”

CDC walkouts

There is also the issue of numerous high-ranking officials at the CDC either facing termination or tendering their resignations.

The exodus apparently was the result of Kennedy demanding that the CDC back new FDA vaccine recommendations, though that is an assertion he denies.

Kennedy was asked about the controversy during the hearing, and he responded, "No. No, I did not say that to her. And I never had a private meeting with her."

He continued, "America is home to 4.2% of the world's population. Yet we had nearly 20% COVID deaths. We literally did worse than any country in the world. And the people at the CDC who oversaw that process, who put masks on our children, who closed our schools, are the people who will be leaving. And that's why we need bold, competent and creative new leadership at CDC."

It's about the kids

Democrats were in full-fledged attack mode against Kennedy, talking about how their opposition to his moves are “about the kids,” yet when children were dropping dead from heart attacks, nobody even wanted to discuss the thought that vaccines were possibly contributing to this (and to be clear, I am not saying the vaccines were responsible, but I am saying it should have been investigated).

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) was among those going after Kennedy, stating, "This is about kids being pushed into harm's way by reckless and repeated decisions to get scientists and doctors out of the way and allow conspiracy theories to dictate this country's health policy.” Keep in mind, these are the same people who have no problem with children mutilating their bodies for a gender change.

Kennedy fired right back, "Senator, you've sat in that chair how long? 20-25 years, while the chronic disease of our children went up to 76%. And you said nothing. You never asked the question why it's happening. Why is this happening? Today, for the first time in 20 years, we've learned that infant mortality has increased in our country. It's not because I came in here. It's because of what happened during the Biden administration that we're going to end.”

I definitely do not agree with all of Kennedy’s policies, but I love the way he fights back and calls out the hypocrisy of people right to their faces. We are seeing more of this among administration officials, and I absolutely love it.
