Today’s thought was inspired by a quote from Ronald Reagan about how facts go out the window when it does not suit the party narrative. I asked readers of the GOP or Democrats were worse at this. Today’s comment is from Marty G. out of Michigan, who responded:
“I have to say the Democrats take the prize on this one, even though nobody in Washington is completely innocent. Sure, Republicans will spin the numbers to make their voting record look better, which is just standard politician behavior. But the left operates on a totally different level.
“If a basic fact about inflation, crime rates, or even biology doesn't line up with their current agenda, they don't just spin it—they actively bury it. And because they have so much of the media willing to play along, those inconvenient facts just disappear from the evening news entirely. It is incredibly frustrating to watch them tell the public that what we see with our own two eyes isn't actually happening, simply because it contradicts whatever policy they are pushing this week.”
