One of the biggest voices on the planet just slaughtered the narrative Democrats have been pushing regarding the SAVE Act as Jim Crow 2.0.
That voice is Joe Rogan, and he is standing up to this narrative that Trump is trying to alienate voters for simply proving they are American citizens.
The narrative is bogus, as I proved in a report on March 9, where I literally went through the process of applying for a birth certificate, several different ways, and it only took me about seven minutes.
Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has been claiming this is Jim Crow 2.0 from the outset, and he refuses to back down.
He claims minorities cannot get IDs, and it will be virtually impossible for women to vote with the new rules, but that is all nonsense.
Even though his theory has been debunked numerous times, he won't stop pushing a ridiculous narrative.
The irony in all of this is that Schumer called Trump a thug for refusing to sign legislation until the SAVE Act is passed, yet Dems refuse to talk about funding DHS even though we are in a legitimate conflict with Iran.
As noted above, Trump drew a line in the sand regarding the SAVE Act, and he has literally shut down Congress until it passes this legislation.
He posted, “It supersedes everything else. MUST GO TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE. I, as President, will not sign other Bills until this is passed, AND NOT THE WATERED DOWN VERSION — GO FOR THE GOLD: MUST SHOW VOTER I.D. & PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP: NO MAIL-IN BALLOTS EXCEPT FOR MILITARY — ILLNESS, DISABILITY, TRAVEL: NO MEN IN WOMEN’S SPORTS: NO TRANSGENDER MUTILIZATION FOR CHILDREN! DO NOT FAIL!!!”
Just for clarification, he stated, “I would close government over it. To me, that’s a core belief.”
I love the fact that Trump is holding firm, but at the same time, this could be a complete and utter disaster if we lock down the government over the next few months, then lose the House in midterms.
Joe Rogan has millions of people who tune in the second he drops his podcast, and most of them take his opinions to heart. Even if they don’t agree with him, they at least respect his opinion on the matter.
Rogan recently discussed the Jim Crow 2.0 narrative that Democrats are pitching with journalist Michael Shellenberger, stating, "ID is not a barrier. It's just an insurance that you're a citizen while you're voting."
Rogan then asked Shellenberger if progressives are really buying into this, asking, "Do you believe that? That's horses---?” Shellenberger replied, "I think they believe it. I'll put it that way."
He continued, "Really? I think they just say it because that's the thing that everybody says. I think it's a groupthink thing. Most people in this country who are citizens have some form of ID or can get some form of ID. And it's entirely reasonable to ask people to prove that you are who you are if you're voting for the president of the United States. That seems pretty reasonable."
This won’t change the mindset of the entire liberal horde, but it will make an impression with moderates who were on the bubble. People need to truly understand that these politicians saying they don’t know how to get a birth certificate are gaslighting the American people because that information is literally on their state websites.
