H.L. Mencken has been dominating my “thoughts” lately, and for good reason. Here is one that absolutely nails Democrats:

"The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it."

That is the Democrat playbook. They want to save everyone from the bad orange man and his fascist ways, but what they really want is power.
