I have always wondered if my readers agree with me in terms of Trump dialing it down a bit or if they want to see Trump continue to hammer Democrats, and I was shocked at how many of you disagree with me on this.
To that point, today’s comment comes from Anderson G. out of Tennessee, who responded:
“I don't care if he's ‘likable.’ We didn't elect a drinking buddy; we elected a bodyguard for Western civilization. If he were ‘nice,’ the swamp would have swallowed him years ago. That ‘in-your-face’ attitude is the only armor that works against a media machine that wakes up every morning trying to destroy him.
“Maybe the private Trump is a gentleman, but the public Trump needs to be a gladiator. If he starts worrying about being popular with the people who hate him, he stops being useful to the people who voted for him. Keep the armor on.”
