Democrats have and will continue to deny that they are doing anything to foment aggression towards immigration agents.
Yet, they have likened them to the Gestapo. Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) recently made it sound as though it would be okay to attack an agent, and now we can add something else to that list.
New Jersey governor Mikie Sherrill has created a website to track ICE agents in the state, making their presence aware to all.
Sherrill never hid her intentions while running for office, and it took no time at all for her to issue an order blocking ICE from state property.
In announcing her ban, she stated, “Today, we are making clear that the Trump administration’s lawless actions will not go unchecked in New Jersey. Given ICE’s willingness to flout the Constitution and violently endanger communities—detaining children, arresting citizens, and even killing several innocent civilians—I will stand up for New Jerseyans’ right to be safe.”
This followed a similar order by the newly elected governor of Virginia, Abigail Spanberger, also a Democrat.
They are all making it very clear that they would rather have criminal illegal immigrants protected than law-abiding American citizens and legal residents, and people keep voting them into office.
As part of Sherrill’s new push to protect illegal immigrants, she also launched a new portal called the “Know Your Rights Information Hub.”
The new website will allow residents of the Garden State to upload their videos and photos of ICE, enabling them to track ICE movements in real time.
Sherrill stated, “[It’s] to track their actions, collect information and use it to spot patterns that can inform our response as a state, including in court.”
Just remember this the next time you read a story about a violent illegal immigrant escaping custody or setting up an ambush against ICE agents.
The administration was obviously not happy about the new governor grabbing headlines by putting a target on ICE agents. Perhaps it was no coincidence when reports broke today of an illegal immigrant ramming a vehicle of ICE agents, resulting in the agents firing their weapons to blow out the tires of the illegal’s vehicle.
DHS stated, "This action by the Governor encourages violence against our officers and obstruction of our operations.” The statement continued that "our officers are already facing a highly coordinated campaign of violence against them and a more than 1,300% increase in assaults against them."
The spokesperson later added, "While Governor Sherrill continues to encourage agitators to obstruct law enforcement and release pedophiles, rapists, gang members, and murderers onto New Jersey’s streets, our brave law enforcement will continue to risk their lives to arrest heinous criminals in New Jersey.”
I suspect that this will be a major topic of discussion when the country’s governors meet with Trump at the White House later this month. It should be a rather lively event.
