Today’s thought was about a quote from Mark Twain about feeling better about things when you are not in the majority, and I noted how I like to swim upstream, even against my fellow conservatives at times. Today’s response comes from Marshall D. out of Nevada, who stated:
“Twain knew that the mob is rarely right because the mob doesn't think; it reacts. You hit the nail on the head regarding the difference in debate styles. When I argue with fellow conservatives, we are usually arguing about the best way to solve a problem.
“When I try to debate a liberal, they usually argue that I am a bad person for even asking the question. They have replaced "debate" with "dogma." If you aren't allowed to question the majority opinion, you aren't in a free society anymore; you're in a cult. Keep swimming upstream; dead fish go with the flow.”
