I really hate to harp on this, but I just cannot get over the narrative that Democrats are pushing regarding the Jimmy Kimmel show suspension. Kimmel blatantly lied in his characterization of Charlie Kirk’s shooter to deflect away from the truth. As I noted in my first report, it was no different than Alex Jones being held accountable for his comments about Sandy Hook, yet here is California Gov. My thought today was about activism on the bench that stems from a fundamental misinterpretation of our Constitution, and I chose Clifford H. from Billings, Montana, for our reader comment:
“Justice Scalia was a giant because he understood this fundamental truth: We have a government of laws, not of men. The ‘living Constitution’ is a Trojan horse for judicial tyranny. It allows judges to ignore the law as written and substitute their own political preferences, effectively making them unelected legislators."
“The Constitution is our anchor; it's meant to be fixed and enduring precisely so it can protect our rights from the changing whims of society. The moment it becomes ‘living,’ our rights become mortal.”
Well said, Clifford, and thanks for the comment. Remember, to be considered for our reader comment of the day, just send your response to our daily thought in our morning report, and we will choose one or two comments to highlight in our evening newsletter.
