Democrats took it on the chin in the battle over the continuing resolution, and now they are desperately hoping to implicate Trump by selectively releasing Epstein files. The problem they now face is what they will do when the full context of the material is leaked and it all blows back on them? If there was really something in those files to hurt Trump, don’t you think it would have come out by now?
Today’s “thought” was about persistence as well as how Gen Z’s impatience has them flocking back to Democrats after giving Trump only 10 months in office. Our comment today comes from Sen. John Thune’s home state of South Dakota. Clara G. responded:
“That Coolidge quote is one for the ages because it’s 100% true. This generation has been raised on ‘participation trophies’ and instant fame from social media. They don't understand that real change and real success are a slow grind."
“Can we win them back? Maybe. But not by pandering to them. They'll come around when they get into the real world and realize that ‘persistence’ is what pays the bills, not ‘grievance.’”
I like your thought process, Clara, but I feel as though it will be too late by the time they realize they fell right back in the same trap with Democrats. I believe the GOP needs to have better messaging, laying out timelines on key issues to give voters a better idea of their plans and help them avoid disappointment after the elections. I guess we will find out when voters head to the polls in 2026.
