Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey respond to news of federal probes

Looking from the outside in, it seems as though the fraud in Minnesota would have been very hard to miss unless you simply did not want to see it.

The videos that have been released by independent journalist Nick Shirley are blowing up all over the place, with fraud apparently being conducted in plain sight.

To that point, a federal investigation is being launched against Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, yet neither of them seems overly worried about it.

Investigations launched

The problem of fraud in Minnesota goes far deeper than either side is willing to let on at this point.

Walz wants to claim credit for allowing the fraud to take place on his watch, then finally bringing dozens of prosecutions to fruition, even though he barely seems to have broached the underlying causes.

So, now the feds are getting involved, looking at whether Frey and Walz have obstructed federal law enforcement agents from carrying out their duty to enforce immigration laws,

CBS News is now reporting that the DOJ is investigating Walz and Frey, as well as other officials in the state, for having violated 18 U.S.C. § 372, which prohibits conspiring “to prevent, by force, intimidation, or threat, any person from accepting or holding any office, trust, or place of confidence under the United States, or from discharging any duties thereof.”

Walz welcomes probe

Walz is now puffing out his chest, saying that he welcomes the federal investigation into his conduct.

He stated, "My message is simple on this. You commit fraud in Minnesota, you're going to prison. I don't care what color you are, what religion you are. Anybody who wants to help us in that, we welcome that.”

The governor continued, "But sitting on the sidelines and throwing out accusations, and let's be very clear, demonizing an entire population and lying to people about the safety and security of this state, is beneath that."

Walz continues to try to hammer this message that nothing is wrong in his state, yet with every passing day, new allegations of fraud seem to emerge. And we are now talking about trillions of dollars, so the investigations are clearly warranted.

Frey responds

Frey claims that he is being investigated for simply having a different opinion than that of the Trump administration, stating, “I never thought in a million years that we would be invaded by our own federal government. Of course, there’s different perspectives when a different party gets sworn into the White House.”

He continued, “Of course, there are different ideologies throughout America. That’s part of what makes our country great. But you don’t get investigated for having a different opinion.”

Frey is not being investigated for having a different opinion. He is being investigated because it appears that he is just looking the other way while blatant fraud is taking place and encouraging violence against ICE officers.

This is gaslighting at its finest, as Democrats clearly believe that if they say these things louder and more often, the American people will believe them. Sadly, when it comes to liberals, at least, they appear to be right.
