Vance to lead fraud investigation in California

Vice President JD Vance is getting in on the action, and it is going to drive California Governor Gavin Newsom mad.

Reports have been made that the fraud in Minnesota is child’s play compared to what is happening in California.

While Newsom is now doing the circuit to tell everyone he is already fighting fraud, JD Vance is reportedly heading up an investigation to dig into these rumors.

Trump chimes in on fraud

I am not so naïve as to think that fraud is only taking place in Democrat states, but it sure does seem like it is running more rampant in those states.

For a state like Minnesota to have a reported $9 billion in fraud is astounding. How it could get to that point leaves plenty of room for blame.

California is a bigger state, so the opportunity is even bigger, and, according to Trump, the Minnesota fraud is a drop in the bucket compared to California.

Trump, in addressing the Minnesota fraud, stated, “That’s peanuts. California is worse, Illinois is worse and, sadly, New York is worse — a lot of other places. So, we’re going to get to the bottom of this.”

Newsom on the defensive

As soon as Trump mentioned California, Gavin Newsom went on the defensive.

He immediately started to brag about how much fraud he had prosecuted already.

All of a sudden, reports of hundreds of bogus hospice operations being shut down surfaced, as well as Newsom addressing recent EBT fraud in the state that was exposed.

His office posted a press release, which stated, “In California, we’re leading the way by turning innovation into action by stopping theft and ensuring benefits reach those who truly need them.”

Here comes Vance

If the primary elections were held tomorrow, I think there is little doubt that we would be seeing Vance face off against Newsom for the presidency, which makes the latest White House announcement very interesting.

Vance has been put in charge of the anti-fraud task force for California, putting the likely frontrunners in 2028 up against each other.

Vance stated, “We know that the fraud isn’t just happening in Minneapolis. It’s happening in states like Ohio. It’s happening in states like California.”

This is a game-changer on so many levels, I cannot even begin to count them all. If Vance can expose a big scandal, regardless of how 2026 turns out, he could singlehandedly put the GOP in a position to win on this investigation alone. This, my friends, is huge.
