Vance fishing trip leads to more unhinged attacks from left

Democrats are obsessed with taking down Vice President JD Vance, but the attacks against him have always been kind of ridiculous.

For instance, there was the “weird” stage, then there were the insults hurled when he took his children to Disney.

Now, the Dems are going after Vance again for a picture of him fishing, claiming he has broken the law.

Just weird

I will give you that Vance may not be for everyone, but Dems took the idea to a whole new level.

During the 2024 campaign, Kamala Harris and Democrats in general took to calling Vance “weird,” as if that would be enough to stop the GOP ticket.

Vice-presidential candidate Tim Walz also started to latch onto that narrative.

Even the media went after Vance on this front, and it just became some goofy line of argument that Democrats used to attack him, which just showed how weak their platform was. This was all they had with which to go after Vance.

The Disney trip

Vance took his young kids to Disney after winning the election, and to listen to the left, you would have thought the world was coming to an end.

Democrats were in an uproar over the trip, including California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who put everyone on alert that Vance was in his state, encouraging people to mess up his vacation.

Newsom posted to X, “Hope you enjoy your family time, @JDVance. The families you’re tearing apart certainly won’t.”

This was a clear shot at the Trump immigration agenda, but Newsom failed to mention that the people being removed by the administration are here illegally, hence, they broke the law.

Gone fishing

Vance is on an official government trip to the U.K., and he posted a picture fishing with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy ahead of their meeting.

The DNC lost its mind, accusing Vance of breaking the law, posting, "VACATION VANCE AT IT AGAIN: Vance Fished ‘Illegally’ With UK Foreign Secretary While Americans Drown in Sky-High Costs." The Democrats further stated, "Vance is living it up on his summer holiday -- on the taxpayers’ dime -- all while working families face sky-high inflation and the largest cuts to health care and food assistance in American history."

Kiersten Pels, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, quickly fired back, "The DNC's donors are OK with funding press releases on a fishing rod license? They might want to pull their money out now before the last of it vanishes down the drain."

Even though this was a private residence, technically, U.K. laws require a fishing license, and the Foreign Secretary could be fined 2,000 pounds for the violation, but something tells me that will not happen. But the bigger picture here is the ridiculous attack from Democrats -- it just goes to show how terrified they are of Vance in 2028, as well as how unfocused the party is as a whole right now.
