The United States Navy made its mark in Operation Epic Fury by blowing a key Iranian warship out of the water with the first submarine torpedo strike since World War II.
There has been some spectacular footage during this operation, but there is simply nothing like seeing a massive ship buckle from below due to a direct hit by a torpedo.
Iran bit off more than it could chew here, and Trump is making them pay.
Before we get to the submarine strike, I wanted to discuss a true first for Israel that took place during this conflict: the F-35I "Adir" stealth fighter shooting down an Iranian Air Force Yak-130.
This was the first official kill of an enemy manned fighter by the Israeli stealth fighter anywhere in the world, an accomplishment worth noting.
Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, the commander of the Israeli Air Force, stated, "The historic shootdown over the Tehran skies is a testament to the strength of the Israeli Air Force and to your personal determination.”
The plane is Israel's customized version of the U.S.-made F-35 Lightning II, a fifth-generation stealth fighter.
It has been a long time since a submarine took out a warship, but the clock just got reset on that one.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth presented the footage of the strike to the media, adding, "An American submarine sunk an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters.
“Instead, it was sunk by a torpedo. Quiet death. The first sinking of an enemy ship by a torpedo since World War Two. Like in that war, back when we were still the War Department. We are fighting to win."
If you have not yet seen the footage of the strike, I highly recommend you check it out on YouTube, as it is spectacular.
On Tuesday, the administration announced it had hit 1,700 targets in 72 hours, which is a shocking number of targets and missions being carried out. That total now exceeds 2,000 targets hit.
US forces have a chokehold on Iran right now, as the country is surrounded by our Navy on all sides, with both the USS Gerald Ford and USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carriers allowing the United States to show off its air dominance.
The only negative from this strike, other than Democrat whining, is a possible strike against a school. Secretary Hegseth said the claim is being investigated.
So far, six service members have been reported KIA during the conflict, and we thank them all and their families for their sacrifice. Our thoughts are with them all.
