President Donald Trump stunned the world last night when an announcement was made that Hamas had finally accepted the terms of his peace deal.
After the deal was announced, in a rare show of unity, Palestinians and Israelis were heard chanting Trump’s name, declaring that Trump should win the Nobel Peace Prize for brokering the deal.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) also broke party ranks to congratulate Trump, the only Democrat I have seen make note of the historic development thus far.
Trump put Hamas on the clock earlier this week, letting the terror organization know that if it did not accept the terms of the deal and release the remaining hostages, there would be all-hell to pay.
Hamas took the threat seriously, as Trump broke the news on Truth Social on Wednesday, stating, "I am very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first Phase of our Peace Plan. This means that ALL of the Hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw their Troops to an agreed upon line as the first steps toward a Strong, Durable, and Everlasting Peace.”
The statement continued, “All Parties will be treated fairly! This is a GREAT Day for the Arab and Muslim World, Israel, all surrounding Nations, and the United States of America, and we thank the mediators from Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, who worked with us to make this Historic and Unprecedented Event happen. BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS!"
This is a huge win for Trump, and after the other peace deals he has brokered, it is virtually impossible to fathom how he cannot be seriously considered for a Nobel Peace Prize, which leads us right into our next point.
It is not often you will see the people of Israel and Palestine celebrating in unison, but that is what happened on Wednesday night.
After the deal was announced, Gaza residents were heard cheering, “Donald Trump! Donald Trump!”
In Tel Aviv, they were screaming, “Nobel Prize to Trump.”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu already nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after his strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities, but this achievement should make the president far more deserving of the award in the eyes of the committee. I just don’t see how they can look past him this time.
One would think that every member of Congress would be excited about Wednesday's news, but the only Democrat I have seen applaud Trump thus far is Fetterman.
The senator stated, "I congratulate @POTUS on this historic peace plan that releases all the hostages. Now, enduring peace in the region is possible. Our parties are different but we have a shared ironclad commitment to Israel and its people.”
Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) added, "The Nobel Peace Prize isn’t enough. If every living hostage is returned and lasting peace in the Middle East is secured, we should repeal the 22nd Amendment and thank the Lord for every day @realdonaldtrump can be our President. There will never be another one like him.”
This idol worship of Trump to the point of wanting to repeal the 22nd Amendment to have him serve as a forever president is sickening to me, and I would never support it, but I do think that it is an amazing accomplishment for the president to end one of the two wars he inherited from Joe Biden. Well done, President Trump, now let’s get a deal in place between Russia and Ukraine before the 2026 voters head to the polling stations.
