You have to love someone who gets on their soapbox about how horrible Donald Trump is, announces a tour to push back against him, then gouges fans with the costs of tickets that are more than their car payments or mortgages.
I am speaking of Bruce Springsteen and his “Land of Hope and Dreams” tour.
Springsteen is crushing fans who want to land decent tickets. So make no mistake about it… this is about money, not a public stance against Trump.
Springsteen has made a fortune off calling Trump a fascist and King.
He is making himself out to be a savior of the people of this country, but all he wants to do is lecture people about the evils of Donald Trump.
For instance, he stated, “We are living through dark, disturbing, and dangerous times, but do not despair — the cavalry is coming!”
You just knew that he was going to launch something to take advantage of this sentiment, and he did.
If you were solely trying to spread a message, you would want reasonable prices so as many people as possible could afford it.
And let’s face it, at Bruce’s age, 76, and net worth, more than $1 billion, he doesn’t really need the money. And his concerts, generally speaking, do not have the kind of theatrics you would see in a Taylor Swift production, for instance, so the costs are going to be low (relatively speaking).
The 20-stop tour that Springsteen will be playing will likely feature the new anti-Trump songs he wrote.
And it is being performed in all the liberal horde areas of the country, such as Philadelphia and New York City.
With only 20 shows, Springsteen knows he can gouge people, and he is doing just that.
From the reports I have seen, prices in the upper deck are going for upwards of $1,000. Seats on the lower bowls are going for as much as $7,000, and this is before the secondary markets get them.
Make no mistake about it… this is all an act to gouge people and nothing more.
This is one of the richest men on the planet. A true member of the 1% club, and he wants more simply because he is playing into people’s feelings, and he knows they will pay it to be part of his fake protests. It’s not often I say to boycott something, and I won’t say it here… but I will say if you contribute to this man’s pocket, please don’t ever complain about anything he ever says or does to me again.
