Some Dems shocked by Zohran Mamdani’s anti-police rant

All of a sudden, Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic Party's candidate in the New York City mayoral race, is a household name.

His past has been examined with a fine-toothed comb as of late, and what is coming to the surface has even some Democrats worried.

Most notably, it was an anti-police rant by Mamdani that is causing some Democrats to bail on him.

Politics runs on fear

The Mandani primary win has the socialists in the party very excited about taking out some of the more establishment Democrats on the political scene.

A former aide to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Corbin Trent, believes that Mamdani’s win now gives him the juice to back primary challengers who will help push this aggressive leftist agenda, taking out establishment incumbents.

Corbin stated, “I think Mamdani has to support primary challengers. The big stick he has is the primary." He added, “He’s already facing resistance. The resistance is out there.”

Then Corbin said the quiet part out loud. While speaking about a primary challenge against House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), he stated, “Politics runs on fear. You don’t have to take out that many.” His point… take out a big gun, and fear will seep into the party, making it much easier to either get everyone else to bend or replace them in the next election.

Ramaswamy gets into the fight

Mamdani has everyone’s attention, and that would include Republican Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.

Ramaswamy is asking New Yorkers to come to Ohio to avoid whatever the future holds if Mamdani wins his election.

A PAC backing Ramaswamy took out a billboard ad, stating, “Worried About Zohran? Ohio Is Waiting For You!”

Andy Surabian, chief strategist to VPAC, added, “While Mamdani will further crush New York City with his job-killing socialist tyranny, Vivek is ready to unleash freedom, supercharge the American dream and make Ohio a state of excellence.”

Left speechless

Mamdani has made plenty of controversial statements in his past, and I firmly believe anyone who supports this man is either ignorant of his history or wants to turn this country into a socialist haven. Either way, they surely do not respect our Constitution.

Former Democratic Party advisor Dan Turrentine is not one of them, ripping Mamdani for comments that resurfaced regarding his stance on police and the role they should play in the city.

Turrentine stated, “I’m almost speechless. Like, that is so enraging. It’s crazy. I hope it hurts him. Like, when I hear that, and I try to have an open mind, hope that whoever our next mayor is makes this city a great place. I live [here]. We have children here. New York City police officers put themselves in such harm’s way. This city is full of crazy people on subways. I, our children go on it. The number of times that there are homeless people who are, like, out of their mind who come up to kids, who scream at them right near – to say the police are the [problem], I hope our party condemns him.”

Well, his hopes are not coming true, as DNC chair Ken Martin has already welcomed Mandani to the party, and Democrats seem to be flocking to him rather than shunning him, save a few exceptions. Sadly, since the GOP never took this race seriously, Mamdani could have a walkover election that is nothing but a formality.
