Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) just proved to the American people that he is more interested in political points than protecting this country.
Kelly is doing everything possible to undermine the confidence the American people have in this administration being able to successfully carry out this military operation.
His latest jab was saying that people off the street could do a better job than Trump’s team.
When Kelly first ran for office, I had high hopes that he would be someone who could start to get the two sides together rather than driving them further apart. I was wrong.
Kelly was among the small group of Democrats who made a video telling our military that it was okay to defy illegal orders.
They did not cite an illegal order, only that they are just pointing this out. It was the most despicable display I have ever seen to use the military as a political pawn.
To make matters worse, when Kelly was put on the spot by the media to pinpoint an order that he would have defied, all he could do was fire up the spin machine.
One sign of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is when you start to blame everything on the bad orange man.
I was hoping that Kelly would not become infected, but this week, he showed the early signs of the affliction.
While talking to MSNOW, Kelly somehow tied the Iran strikes to the Affordable Care Act, stating, “And how does this help Americans afford their healthcare? Which, by the way, this president put a big dent in, right?
“Really cut, if you're somebody on Medicaid or getting your healthcare from the Affordable Care Act exchange, he wanted to give a big tax cut to billionaires. How does this help you?”
The American people need to have confidence and reassurance right now, but that is not the route the Democrats are going.
If you look through history, when a strike such as this was being carried out, everyone rallied behind the president, if for no other reason than to give our military members the confidence they need to successfully carry out these missions.
Kelly has gone the other way, stating, “I’m thinking, you could pick a random group of people off the street tonight here in Washington, D.C. — just a random group — and they could probably do a better job than our government is doing right now with this.”
Think about the damage a statement like that could do. Would you be willing to fly into combat, thinking the people giving the orders have no clue? Furthermore, thus far, from a battle plan perspective, this operation has been carried out with expert precision thus far. I think Kelly has disqualified himself from being taken seriously. He is now a full-fledged member of the liberal horde that has an incurable case of TDS.
