Schumer opts for profanity in effort to push back against Trump

There was a time in this country when a politician cursing publicly would have never been tolerated.

I am not talking about an occasional slip, but a regular habit for dramatic effects.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has now made this the norm, to the point that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is using the strategy to push back against Trump’s DC takeover.

Taking back the city

There is a lot of talk that Trump was too extreme in taking over D.C. to help fight crime in the city.

I have openly stated that I was against the federal takeover, but that is simply because of its optics.

My point is that by taking over the city, Trump gives the Democrat narrative of authoritarianism more juice.

I believe that Trump should have offered the city additional help, and I truly believe that Mayor Muriel Bowser would have been accepting of such a gesture. Now, all we are going to see is Trump being blamed for every single crime that is committed in that city.

Need more time

Per current laws, Trump can only federalize the local police for 30 days unless Congress gives him an extension (he could also declare a state of emergency).

Trump is expecting House Speaker Johnson (R-LA) to address this requirement if need be.

The president stated, "I think the Republicans in Congress will approve this pretty much unanimously.”

Trump is likely correct in that assumption, but Democrats are not going to go quietly here.

No way

Democrats have a newfound love of cursing, and Schumer bought into that strategy when explaining how he would fight Trump on an extension of the federalization of D.C.

When asked if the Dems would help approve, Schumer responded, "No f‑‑‑ing way. We’ll fight him tooth and nail. … He needs to get Congress to approve it, and not only are we not going to approve it, but there are some Republicans who don’t like it either."

He then added, "This is, again, just a distraction. He’s afraid of Epstein. He’s afraid of all that, and we are not going to give up on Epstein."

Dems are taking the bait here in a big way. They are standing up for criminals, and now they are pushing an Epstein narrative that will backfire against them when all is said and done. Are Dems forgetting that it was Bill Clinton who traveled with Epstein dozens of times? I cannot wait to see all this play out and destroy their party.
