SBA cuts foreign nationals from all loan programs

The Small Business Administration is finally doing what it should have been doing all along… putting Americans before non-citizens.

This week, SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler announced a rather significant change that will have the left up in arms.

Foreign nationals and non-citizens will no longer have access to its loan services.

Incoming

Loeffler is a former senator from Georgia, as well as being one of Trump’s first picks after winning the election.

In early December 2024, Trump announced, "I am very pleased to nominate business leader and former U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler, from the Great State of Georgia, to serve as Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA).”

She was given a mandate to cut the red tape for potential business owners who needed help from the organization.

Trump wanted small businesses for Americans to grow, above all else, and that is the path this agency has taken.

The transformation

After Trump took office and Loeffler was installed into her new position, she said she would be working with Trump to create a "golden era of prosperity and growth."

Loeffler wanted to boost American manufacturing, sending out a memo to staffers that stated, "The vast majority of America’s manufacturers are small businesses, and SBA programs have powered tens of thousands of them.

"This agency is committed to supporting the America First agenda by rebuilding American supply chains and investing in manufacturing to strengthen our economy and national security."

Of course, DEI was also targeted, and Loeffler was more than happy to carry out that task as well.

For Americans

Now, the SBA has made a move that I fully support, especially as someone who had to jump through hoops when I was starting my own business to get an SBA loan.

Loans are now only available for American citizens. No foreign nationals or non-citizens. Call it whatever you want, but I am all for all money in this agency benefiting American business owners, period.

Loeffler stated, "The Trump SBA is committed to driving economic growth and job creation for American citizens.”

Dems will either challenge this legally or dismantle this mandate once they take over the White House again, but for now, it truly is America first, and I love it. I have seen the abuses of these programs firsthand while watching my fellow Americans beg for loans only to be turned down. Hopefully, at least for the next three years, those days are over.
