REPORT: Obama-linked influences supporting Zohran Mamdani behind the scenes

Things in New York City are about to get a bit spicier for Democrats.

Reports are now breaking regarding some of the financial and behind-the-scenes support for the controversial mayoral candidate, Zohran Mamdani.

It would appear that Former President Barack Obama’s people are now supporting the firebrand candidate

Changing New York

It does not get more radical than Mamdani.

Virtually every platform issue he supports goes directly against our Constitution and the overall dream of our Founding Fathers.

For instance, he wants the government to gobble up real estate and create massive communes around the city, trashing personal property rights, a key component of our republic.

Democrats are now being forced to take a position on his proposals, as the GOP has started to apply pressure. We are seeing party members go both ways, but, quite frankly, it is rather disheartening to see how many Democrats are falling in line with Mamdani for the sake of having a liberal in charge of the city.

Who is winning?

I honestly thought that with increased exposure of his radical positions, people would start to back away from him, but New Yorkers are embracing him.

In just about every scenario there is right now, Mamdani not only wins, but he also does so comfortably.

Mayor Eric Adams and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa are making things even easier, as a four-way race gives Mamdani his biggest margin of victory.

However, even in head-to-head polling, Mandani is crushing former Gov. Andrew Cuomo by double digits.

Enter the Obama connection

I believe that nothing happens in Obama’s world without the former president giving a thumbs up, which makes the addition of Patrick Gaspard, who has served in several high-profile political positions, including advising the former president's historic 2008 campaign, serving as the Democratic National Committee's executive director, rather interesting.

Not only has Gaspard been quietly working behind the scenes with Mamdani, but he also introduced the mayoral hopeful to famed former Obama adviser David Axelrod.

If Obama is behind Mamdani, that is a game-changer for his campaign, but it also goes to show just how far Democrats are willing to go to gain power in this country.

As noted above, there is virtually nothing about Mamdani’s platform that falls in line with our Constitution or the dream of our Founders. I have always believed that Democrats want to change this country from within, and what better way to do that than to take over a major American city in an effort to infect the nation with socialism.
