Remember when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was all Donald Trump, all the time?
The man could do no wrong in her eyes, but that all changed after Trump took office and snubbed her for a Cabinet post.
With only days left in office, Greene has clearly taken off the gloves, firing shots at Trump for just about anything she can.
I think some of Greene’s hits against Trump had some teeth, but I think she is floundering with her latest attacks.
This week, Trump has been meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Greene responded, "Zelensky today. Netanyahu tomorrow.” Then she added, "Can we just do America?"
Well, we send hundreds of millions of dollars to these countries, so ignoring them is not an option. So, as I stated, she is just taking a shot for the sake of taking a shot here.
One of the more eye-opening allegations made against Trump is one that I actually agree with: that being that Trump has no loyalty.
Well, let me clarify… Trump will remain loyal until you dare to question anything about him, and he has proven this time again. Once you say anything negative, you are discarded, then usually told you are a “low IQ individual” or receive some other insult. To that point, Greene said that loyalty with Trump is "a one-way street — and it ends like that whenever it suits him."
The lawmaker has also questioned Trump’s faith and accused the MAGA movement of sexualizing women.
The White House responded, "President Trump remains the undisputed leader of the greatest and fastest growing political movement in American history — the MAGA movement. On the other hand, Congresswoman Greene is quitting on her constituents in the middle of her term and abandoning the consequential fight we’re in — we don’t have time for her petty bitterness.”
Since Greene has started to oppose Trump, she has become a target for MAGA, and CNN political commentator Scott Jennings has her on his radar.
He recently ripped Greene, stating, “MTG becomes a lib. I mean, that is what happened this year. She got a little bent out of shape because the president wouldn’t support her for a statewide office in Georgia, which she was going to lose if she had gotten into it, by the way, and so she goes off the deep end.”
Jennings continued, “Look, I don’t think these divisions and all this fraying are as big a deal as some people make it out to be. Trump is still extraordinarily popular among Republicans. He’s the strongest party boss in the modern era.”
I don’t agree with Jennings at all. Trump used to be the big party boss, but there are some serious fractures in the GOP right now. This can all be fixed, but Trump needs to actually listen and talk to people rather than talking at them and bullying them. I have been warning about this for some time, and I take a lot of heat for it, but we are going to see just how much of a party boss Trump is on election day 2026. I will gladly eat a plate of crow if I am wrong, but I really wish Trump would change his tactics so we don’t get crushed in the next two election cycles
