Obama says country has reached an ‘inflection point’

I believe it would be pretty easy to make the case that former President Barack Obama’s administration is when we started to see a significant rise in the temperature in terms of political rhetoric.

I could even narrow it down more to Obama’s second term, when the left really got its hooks into him.

Now, Obama is saying that the nation has hit an “inflection point,” but will he truly do something about it?

Michelle the divider

Barack and Michelle Obama have done more than their fair share of creating division in this country, especially the former first lady, considering her frequent departures from the role's traditional realm.

Michelle has hit Donald Trump on every little issue that has ever come up, always pointing the blame at him.

Just prior to the 2024 presidential election, she painted a horrific and completely unrealistic scenario in order to fearmonger Americans, stating, "Your daughter could be the one too terrified to call the doctor if she’s bleeding during an unexpected pregnancy. Your niece could be the one miscarrying in her bathtub after the hospital turned her away."

Mrs. Obama continued, "And this will not just affect women; it will affect you and your sons," suggesting both men and women would suffer from "the devastating consequences of teen pregnancy."

Bad orange man

After the assassination of Charlie Kirk, it was obvious to most very early on that the killer was a leftist who had been upset with the conservative activist's positions, and Trump told the public much.

I am sure you have noticed this before, but when someone from the right commits a horrific act, Democrats have no problem calling them out, even jumping to conclusions in many cases that the maniac had to be a conservative, and that has come back to bite liberals numerous times recently when their claims turned out to be false

Obama blasted Trump for calling out the “radical left” in regard to Kirk's killing, stating, “There’s been some confusion, I think, around this lately, and, frankly, coming from the White House and some of the other positions of authority that suggest, even before we had determined who the perpetrator of this evil act was, that somehow we’re going to identify an enemy.”

Funny how I remember Obama attempting to obliterate the right on many occasions, but now that we see this recent trend of political violence mostly coming from the left, the former president wants to get high and mighty.

Inflection point

On Tuesday night, the former president appeared at the Jefferson Educational Society’s global summit, stating, “Even if you think they’re quote unquote on the other side of the argument, that’s a threat to all of us, and we have to be clear and forthright and condemn it.”

He continued, “And so your original question was, ‘are we at an inflection point?’ We’re at an inflection point in the sense that we always have to fight for our democracy, and we have to fight for those values that have made this country the envy of the world.”

First, and I hate repeating myself on this, we are a constitutional republic, not a democracy, and it would be nice if the people elected to the highest office in the land would know that.

Second, Obama is in a position to call out his fellow Democrats for excessive rhetoric, telling them to tone it down, or perhaps end it altogether. And again, I do not give the right a pass when it comes to rhetoric, but Trump calls opponents the radical left, and they call him Hitler; I would say that is not even close in terms of impacft. Lead by example, and start to be civil to Republicans, and perhaps that favor would be returned. If not, this tit-for-tat will just continue. By the way, Barack, you may want to have a conversation with Rep. Jasmine Crockett if you think we are at an “inflection point” because she just continues to pour gasoline on this lit fire.
