Newsom gaslighting Americans about 2028 election

Donald Trump loves poking Democrats about the 2028 election, saying that he would love to run again and suggesting that a lot of people want him seek a third term.

This has now become the rallying cry of California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who will likely be the Democrats' frontrunner for president when the primary election rolls around.

Newsom is now pushing the narrative that Trump is indeed running, if not killing elections altogether.

Own doing

Democrats are able to attack Trump on this because of his own doing, as he regularly talks about the possibility of another run, sells a “Trump 2028” hat, and told the media he was not joking about such a campaign.

Trump has even hinted that he has attorneys trying to figure out a way for him to run, stating, "There are methods which you could do it.”

When Kristen Welker of NBC News asked him point-blank if he was serious about running, Trump stated, "I'm not joking.”

Now, do I think Trump will actually run? No. He is doing this because he knows it gets under their skin, and we all know Trump loves to live their heads rent free, and he is doing just that.

Never vote again

During the 2024 election cycle, Trump spoke at the Turning Point Action Believers’ Summit in Florida. Trump stated, “Get out and vote just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore.”

Now, that is where most media outlets cut the feed, but Trump said quite a bit more after that.

He continued, "Four more years it will be fixed. It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians. You’ve got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again, we’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote.”

The point that was clearly made by Trump was that if he is elected, their concerns would be taken care of, and they would not have to vote again to get them fixed. Yet, the first part of his message is a regular rallying cry for Democrats who are fearmongering to the American people.

Newsom piles on

The POLITICO Summit was taking place this week in California, and Newsom was more than happy to get on stage and spew falsehoods about Trump.

Newsom told the crowd, "I don't think Donald Trump wants another election. I have two dozen ‘Trump 2028’ hats his folks keep sending me … Who spends $200 million on a ballroom at their home and then leaves the house? This is serious guys. This is serious."

The governor then pointed to Trump’s comments about never having to vote again, but he did so completely out of context.

I get that people stretch the truth during elections, but this is just blatant lying to score political points and raise his profile for the 2028 election. Can you tell me there was not someone in that room who took this dead seriously and now thinks they have to eliminate Trump in order to remove this threat? It sure would not be the first time. These are the types of comments that inspire assassination attempts, but Dems just keep tossing them out there without fear of repercussions.
