Nearly 200 Democrats vote against increased penalties for undocumented felons

In order to address a problem, you must first be willing to admit there is one.

As far as Democrats are concerned, that is not the case with illegal immigration.

Check that… they don’t even think that illegal immigration is a crime. And now they are trying to block legislation meant to deter illegals from committing felonies.

Slave patrols

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has taken fellow Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's rhetoric about ICE and injected it with steroids.

Both she and AOC have asserted that crossing the border illegally is not a crime, and they are both wrong per U.S. Code. It’s illegal, plain and simple, and if it is illegal, it’s a crime… pretty basic stuff here.

Even after the death of Charlie Kirk, Crockett continues to use disgusting rhetoric on this front, stating, "As somebody who understands history, when I see ICE, I see slave patrols.”

That, to me, is just a vile statement solely to get liberals wound up against ICE and to encourage them to continue to protest and attack agents.

Hundreds arrested

While Dems deny the problem, this administration is cracking down not only on illegal immigration but also on the criminal element of this demographic group.

Recently, the White House posted, "The Trump Administration arrested 538 illegal immigrant criminals including a suspected terrorist, four members of the Tren de Aragua gang, and several illegals convicted of sex crimes against minors."

Of the 538 that were arrested, 373 of them had criminal records in addition to the illegal immigration charges.

Had our immigration laws not been tossed during the Biden administration, perhaps victims of these crimes would not have been subjected to such offenses. I like to call these preventable crimes, as they never would have happened had the perpetrators not been permitted to cross our border and stay in the country.

Vote ‘No’

Rep. Stephanie Bice (R-OK) recently introduced the “Stop Illegal Entry Act.” The legislation was crafted for the purpose of raising the stakes for illegals who commit these heinous crimes.

The legislation passed the House 226-197, with all the “no” votes coming from the Democrat side of the aisle.

Bice stated, "The Biden Administration let over 10 million illegal immigrants into the country and failed to prosecute those who defied U.S. immigration law. These individuals included people from countries designated as state sponsors of terror, with 400 illegal aliens on the Terrorist Watch List being encountered at the border. We must deter future illegal immigration and give our law enforcement and border patrol officers the tools they need to hold dangerous criminals accountable.”

This is likely something of which most Americans are unaware because, let’s be honest, most people are not following the development of legislation such as this, and news outlets barely cover it. Yet, it is this type of legislation that should serve as a wake-up call to law-abiding citizens and residents that one side of the aisle does not have their safety or well-being as priorities.
