Mark Hamill posted an AI-generated image of President Trump lying in a grave with the caption, “If Only," reported Fox News. After outrage from the right, he deleted the post, then insultingly insisted that he was "wishing him the opposite of dead."
Tell me, in what world does “if only” accompanied by a gravesite mean “I hope he lives.” And if that was truly the case, then why delete the post?
I don’t want to come off as ignorant of Trump’s comments, as he has surely said his fair share of outrageous things.
One of the more questionable things Trump has ever posted, especially given the horrific nature of the death, was the comments made about Rob Reiner, who has had an ongoing feud with Trump for years. After his murder, Trump posted to Truth Social:
"A very sad thing happened last night in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling, but once very talented movie director and comedy star, has passed away, together with his wife, Michele, reportedly due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS."
The post itself was bad enough, but attributing the death to "TDS" rather than a murderous rampage by Reiner's son did not even sit well with some Republicans, and many of them called Trump out over this.
Another example would be the comments made after the death of Robert Mueller. Again, Trump used Truth Social to blow up the internet, posting:
“Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!”
Trump has insulted just about everyone online. His standard knock is to call someone “Low IQ,” then proceed to call them the “enemy of the state” or further insult their intelligence.
I don’t like the posts. I never have. I think they are childish and unnecessary, but having said that, Trump has not wished death on anyone. That is something the left cannot say about the president.
Trump has people wishing nasty stuff about him every day on social media; that comes with the territory of being a polarizing figure in today’s political world.
Some voices, however, are much louder than others. And when you have popular entertainers and Democrats calling Trump a Nazi, people start to believe it. And when they start to talk about killing Trump or wishing him dead, some lunatic out there will get it into their head that they can gain the favor of these people by completing their desired task.

Those are the three failed attempts at Trump’s life, and there have been others that did not get quite as close. The White House grounds have been rushed numerous times, and it seems as though there are weekly stories about people being arrested for threats against Trump or an administration official.
Democrats, however, still insist that their rhetoric is not responsible for these attacks.
In fact, some of them even deny there is any rhetoric on their side. For instance, I recently did a deep dive regarding comments made by Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), who, when asked if Dems should dial down the rhetoric considering there have been three attempts on Trump’s life, responded:

To this point, there has been zero accountability from a big name. And when the DOJ tries to hold someone accountable, as it did in the recent indictment against former FBI Director James Comey, it gets laughed at. The media brushed off the indictment, focusing on the beach picture of the shells laid out to say "86 47," but Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has insisted this goes much deeper than that single picture.

Within 24 hours of promising to dial it down, Joe Biden fired another attack against Trump, and Dems started to pile on again. Second attempt against Trump’s life at his West Palm Beach golf course.
Dems and Hollywood never skipped a beat. In fact, the rhetoric has gotten worse, and now a third attempt on Trump’s life at the WHCA Dinner event. Then, after that attempt, Mark Hamill openly wishes that Trump were dead.
Once may be considered a coincidence, but three times is a pattern.
It’s not a question of “if” another attempt will be made on Trump’s life, but rather “when.” And even though Dems and Hollywood elitists deny it, the evidence points to the fact that they would love to see Trump in a body bag.
