Hillary Clinton goes mental over Trump-led White House renovation project

If you ever needed proof that Donald Trump is living rent-free in the heads of Democrats, just do a quick scan of social media reactions to the new ballroom that the president is adding to the White House.

You would think a privately funded project to expand the White House and add an elegant ballroom that can be used for state functions and inaugurations would be welcome, but that is not the case.

Hillary Clinton may have had the most staggering comment on the subject yet, especially when you consider that she and her husband stole all kinds of things walking out the door of the White House when Bill’s term was up, not to mention his extracurricular activities in the Oval Office.

The renovation

Democrats keep using the word “demolishing” when speaking of what is taking place at the White House, but this is, in my opinion, a much-needed renovation.

Trump explained, “For more than 150 years, every President has dreamt about having a Ballroom at the White House to accommodate people for grand parties, State Visits, etc. I am honored to be the first President to finally get this much-needed project underway -- with zero cost to the American Taxpayer!"

His post continued, "The White House Ballroom is being privately funded by many generous Patriots, Great American Companies, and, yours truly. This Ballroom will be happily used for Generations to come!”

Trump got all the big players to pony up, a situation Democrats have described as akin to the White House being bought. Among those who donated funds were Trump himself, Lockheed Martin, Booz Allen Hamilton, Blackstone, Google, and Alphabet. There is not a single penny of taxpayer money being used for the project, which makes it no different than Barack Obama’s Chicago presidential center.

Hillary’s outrage

Hillary posted a picture of the start of the ballroom construction project, adding, "It’s not his house. It’s your house. And he’s destroying it."

The White House responded, "President Trump is working 24/7 to Make America Great Again, including his historic beautification of the White House, at no taxpayer expense. These long-needed upgrades will benefit generations of future presidents and American visitors to the People’s House."

When the ballroom project was first announced, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt explained, "The White House is currently unable to host major functions honoring world leaders in other countries without having to install a large and unsightly tent approximately 100 yards away from the main building's entrance.”

I have been trolling every Democrat who has objected to the addition, asking them if Democrats will boycott any of the ballroom, if and when they reclaim the White House. Of course, none of them answered me because we all know they will be hosting big fundraisers in there and will be ecstatic over the added seating capacity to host all their rich friends.

In reality…

While Democrats are feigning outrage, the reality is that the White House has undergone massive renovations in the past, with the last truly large project taking place during FDR’s presidency, but you won’t hear Democrats complain about that.

Ironically, the Dems are whining about Trump undertaking this construction while the government is shut down, but FDR’s pool and East Wing renovations took place during the same time as the Great Depression and its immediate aftermath!

In 1902, Teddy Roosevelt had the West Wing built, William Taft added the Oval Office, and Harry Truman redid the entire interior due to structural damage. Jackie Kennedy added the Rose Garden, Richard Nixon added a bowling alley, Gerald Ford added an outdoor swimming pool, and Barack Obama converted the tennis courts into a basketball court so he could shoot hoops. Yet, nobody said a word during any of that work, also paid for by outside donations, by the way.

This is bad orange man syndrome on a whole new level. If Trump does it, the left forces itself to be outraged by it, no matter how pathetic it makes them look. And I have to say, this is about as pathetic as it gets.
