With the wins the Trump administration has had, it is only natural to wonder not only who will take over MAGA leadership after Trump, but also if that person can win the next presidential election. A new poll shows that person is not only likely to be Vance, but he is now the clear favorite to win in 2028. Would you support Vance as president regardless of who he chooses as his VP? Or are there exceptions that would make you think twice?
Our thought today was about Donald Trump reviving Ronald Reagan’s belief in peace through strength. We got a lot of great responses, but the one that really hit home for me was by Richard M. of Huntington Beach, CA:
"Living in California, I see firsthand what happens when leaders project weakness—it invites chaos. That Reagan quote is the absolute truth. You don't prevent fights by promising to lose them.
“For years, we watched the previous administration apologize for our country's power. Trump understands that projecting strength is the only way to command respect and deter our enemies. This isn't being 'aggressive'; it's showing the world that America's days of being a doormat are over."
I think most of us would agree that Biden’s weakness is what gave Russia and Hamas the confidence to attack, as many believe that would have never happened if Trump had been in office at the time. Well said, Richard, and thanks for the comment!
