GOP senators say Dems using Epstein files as delay tactic

For years, the Democrats sat on their hands regarding the Jeffrey Epstein files.

Now, after the Trump administration claimed there was no client list in existence, Democrats think that the president is trying to protect himself by not releasing the files that are available.

This has been the case so much so that Dems are now using the flies to stall the Senate from moving on to other legislation as well as to confirmation processes for Trump’s nominees, and the GOP is finally starting to speak up.

Stop already

For years, it was Trump and his surrogates who were getting everyone wound up over the Epstein files, so it was no surprise to see MAGA stalwarts get so upset when they were told there was nothing to the case.

Trump tried to put this fire out, telling his supporters, "What's going on with my 'boys' and, in some cases, 'gals?' They're all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We're on one Team, MAGA, and I don't like what's happening.”

A Truth Social post from the president continued, "We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and 'selfish people' are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.”

That, however, only seemed to make it worse, as we even saw longtime MAGA supporters accusing Trump of covering for the Swamp. This, of course, led to Democrats thinking they could use this to attack the president.

Pouncing

There has never been a whisper on this subject of Trump having ever done anything inappropriate, a fact which Ghislaine Maxwell herself has confirmed, but that has not stopped the Democrats from using this to attack the president.

For instance, the DNC posted, “What is Trump hiding? Release the Epstein files.”

A DNC top adviser added, “Trump administration officials are either lying about the file and keeping it covered up to protect themselves, or they lied about its existence in a shameless political ploy to get elected. Either way, it is disgusting, and they have to be held accountable.”

I just want to know where all this outrage was when it was believed that Bill Clinton’s fingerprints were all over these files? Democrats now seem convinced that their donors and fellow liberals are not implicated in these files, and I think that could be a huge mistake.

Not living in reality

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has latched on to this narrative to bring the upper chamber to a grinding halt, delaying nominations and legislation from moving through.

Schumer stated, "When the House had an opportunity to take votes on the Epstein files, Speaker Johnson skedaddled out of town, launching the Epstein recess. This is not complicated."

He continued, "After promising full transparency for years, every single time Trump, his administration, Republican leaders have had a chance to be transparent about the Epstein files, they've chosen to hide. The evasions, the delays, the excuses, they’re not just odd, they’re alarming."

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) went nuclear, calling out Democrats for doing nothing about this while Biden was in office, yet now making a stink to hold up Trump's agenda. As he noted, "What else do they have? They don't have a leader, they don't have an agenda. They don't have solutions. All they know is, if it's President Trump, they're not going to like it, very matter of fact, they're going to hate it at the sacrifice of the entire country."
