Former Obama-era officials mock Hunter Biden in wake of ranting interview

Over the weekend, a three-hour interview with former first son Hunter Biden blew up the internet.

Hunter was raging at everyone who stood up against his father during the heat of the 2024 election.

Well, Hunter's comments did not go over too well, and with the first son having even taken a swing at Barack Obama, some former officials have stepped forward to call him out.

Smartest man I know

Hunter Biden has always been a central focus of critiques leveled against his father, Joe Biden.

The former first son, who has struggled with drug, alcohol, and sexual addictions since I can remember, has always held a special place in his father’s heart.

Joe has been bailing Hunter out of trouble since he was a teenager, and he continued to do so as president.

But when Joe referred to Hunter as the smartest person he knew, I think it was just too much to take, and Republicans went after him with everything they had.

The interview

The aforementioned interview is all over the internet right now, but if you missed it, there were some key moments of Hunter’s outrage, of which everyone should take note.

It was rather funny to hear Hunter rage against actor George Clooney, who wrote an op-ed last summer calling for Joe to drop out of the race. Hunter responded, "F--- him! F--- him and f--- everybody around him. I don’t have to be f---ing nice. Number one, I agree with Quentin Tarantino. George Clooney is not a f---ing actor. He is a f---ing, I don’t know what he is, he’s a brand.”

Hunter also blamed his father’s disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump on the fact that he took Ambien to help him sleep during an overseas trip. Mind you, that trip took place about a week before he was on stage with Trump, and the then-president went into hiding at Camp David a full week before the debate so that he would be rested and fresh.

The beleaguered former first son also went on a rant against Obama officials and other powerful Democrats, stating, "James Carville -- who hasn’t run a race in 40 f--ing years -- and David Axelrod, who had one success in his political life, and that was Barack Obama. And that was because of Barack Obama -- not because of f---ing David Axelrod. And David Plouffe, and all of these guys, and the Pod Save America guys, who were junior f---ing speechwriters on Barack Obama’s Senate staff, who have been dining out on the relationship with him for years, making millions of dollars.”

Striking back

Tommy Vietor, Jon Favreau, and Jon Lovett, hosts of Pod Save America and former Obama staffers all, blasted Hunter after his little meltdown.

Lovett sarcastically stated, "You know, it must be just so hard for Hunter Biden to watch all these people dining out on somebody's name.”

Vietor added, "Mostly it is three hours of Hunter playing the victim. And he rages at us, and he rages at [David] Axelrod and [George] Clooney, but the problem was the voters, and they never addressed that. The voters thought Joe Biden was too old."

They also admitted that Hunter was only on the board of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma because of Joe Biden's status as vice president at the time, a claim that bolsters allegations made by the GOP regarding Hunter Biden and influence peddling. Their words represented a crushing attack against Hunter, and I am sure the GOP will be saving these men's assessments for future strategic use.
