I hate to say it, but you just knew this was coming from Democrats and the media.
The moment Charlie Kirk, someone who had close ties to the GOP and the Trump family, was assassinated, you just knew that the media and Democrats would spin a narrative to take a shot at the president.
Well, now they are aligned, and somehow Donald Trump’s quest to make our city streets safer after this brutal killing makes him an “authoritarian” who wants to be the dictator of the United States.
The media is working hand-in-hand with Democrats on this, as they are pushing the very same talking points the party is touting in the wake of the Kirk assassination.
We all know where The Guardian’s loyalties lie, and the publication proved that it is nothing more than an extension of the Democratic Party with a sickening recent article, still claiming that the motives of Kirk's shooter are not known (that is just a blatant lie).
The outlet's report then stated, “The shooting provides the perfect pretext for tightening his grip, silencing dissent, and concentrating power -- so that his successors may inherit full state control, regardless of charisma, merit or mandate. After all, any autocratic system has to be built first; once entrenched, it becomes far easier to maintain.”
It continued, “Liberal democracy and the rules-based global order are far from perfect, but they have delivered peace, progress and prosperity -- the very opposite of authoritarianism. To suggest that the US, the architect of the postwar order, could soon slide into full-blown autocracy, its leaders thinking like Nazis in 1933, may seem far-fetched.” And there you go again, pushing the Nazi narrative just days after a man was assassinated by a leftist.
Failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams is one of the most divisive figures in this country, and she is spewing her poison again, pushing this tired narrative and showing zero respect for Kirk’s family and the fact that he was murdered.
Abrams just articulated the exact narratives we just read from The Guardian during a recent interview on CNN. She stated, "That will also invoke the rule of law to hold accountable anyone who undertakes the act of political violence. But we cannot allow this heinous murder to be exploited as an excuse for the advance of authoritarian rule, which is what we are watching happen."
During a previous interview on late-night TV, Abrams claimed, "Step nine, you start to encourage and incentivize private violence. You send the U.S. Marines into spaces they should not be. You send the National Guard in. You kidnap people off of the streets and pretend that’s normal, because that’s how you quiet dissent, because you make everyone afraid that if they don’t do what you want, they might be next.”
She continued, “And once you’ve done those nine steps, step 10 is easy. That’s when you decide there won’t be new elections because everyone is either afraid, poor, broken or complicit.” Abrams made reference to that supposed plan again while appearing on CNN.
If you thought Kirk’s assassination would get Democrats to temper their incendiary comments, you would be wrong, as they have only gotten worse.
California Democrat Sen. Padilla, just two days ago, told MSNBC, “[T]he Trump administration has laid the foundation to militarize, to bring terror to any city in America on any issue. It was Los Angeles then, it’s been Washington, D.C. of late, and now there’s chatter about Memphis, threats against Chicago. He’s called out San Francisco, New York, others. Not a coincidence, municipalities with Democratic leadership. It is a partisan attack, blatant and transparent.”
He later stated, “Political violence is unacceptable in any way, shape, or form, whether it’s from the left or from the right or anywhere. A real leader would be using an incident like this to unite the country. Donald Trump can’t help himself. He continues to divide and try to fan the flames.”
Twice before the 2024 election, would-be assassins tried to kill Trump because Democrats painted him as a dictator. Kirk is dead because he was deemed a threat. Yes, we continue to see the same trigger words being used by the media and Democrats to fan this hate and divide that has clearly caused some people to snap, taking matters into their own hands, literally trying to end people, and successfully doing so in the case of Kirk. They just won’t stop.
