There was a time when James Carville was one of the most respected voices in politics.
He is a liberal, but he used to be reasonable, giving top-level analysis, but that was before the social media age.
Now, he is nothing more than a click-bait artist, but that just backfired when Melania Trump unleashed her legal team on him, forcing Carville to concede.
The mainstream media has embraced the idea that Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump were close friends, with The New York Times devoting a full-featured article to the subject, headlined “Inside the Long Friendship Between Trump and Epstein.”
Trump and Epstein clearly knew each other because they ran in similar circles, but that does not mean that because they were at the same parties, they are best friends.
Yet, after the Trump administration declared there were no Epstein files, the Democrats and media have tried to sensationalize the relationship for clicks and likes, even though there is not a single instance where Trump has been linked to any of Epstein’s nefarious activities.
On that front, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “These stories are tired and pathetic attempts to distract from all the success of President Trump’s administration.”
The latest story making its way around is that someone close to Epstein, who also knew Melania, was responsible for Donald Trump and Melania meeting.
The Daily Beast did a feature article on this, which was immediately contested by Melania Trump, who threatened legal action over the story.
The Daily Beast retracted the story, which tells you the publication did not bother to heavily vet the story, as it has stood firm on other hit pieces.
In place of the story reads an editor's note: “After this story was published, The Beast received a letter from First Lady Melania Trump’s attorney challenging the headline and framing of the article. After reviewing the matter, the Beast has taken down the article and apologizes for any confusion or misunderstanding.”
Carville had abandoned his previous ways and is now nothing more than a Democrat talking head. He pushed that Daily Beast story during one of his recent podcasts, which was posted to YouTube, and Melania quickly went after him, too.
Like The Daily Beast, Carville quickly folded and published an apology, which stated, "In last week's podcast episode, we spoke with Judd Legum. After the episode, we received a letter from Melania Trump's lawyer. He took issue with our title of one of those YouTube videos from that episode and a couple of comments I made about the first lady.”
He then added, “We took a look at what they complained about, and we took down the video and edited out those comments from the episode. I also take back these statements and apologize.”

Again, had Carville actually vetted the information, he would have surely stood firm, but this just goes to show you simply cannot trust these people. Carville survives on reputation now, but he is just as bad as everyone else, cherry-picking information to suit a narrative rather than providing expert analysis, which he has shown in the past to be capable of doing. And this, my friends, is why most of us no longer trust the mainstream media and have started to look for alternative means to find our news.
