Bongino tears into Matt Gaetz in heated online exchange

Former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has always been a bit of an odd bird, and he has never had a problem picking a fight with a fellow Republican.

I am not sure if he and former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino got along in the past, but rest assured, if they did, that friendship has since been severed.

Gaetz made a comment on a social media post made by Bongino, who then turned around and ripped him to shreds.

Gaetz withdraws as attorney general nominee

I have never been a fan of Gaetz, and I was stunned when Trump nominated him to serve as his attorney general.

Gaetz was surrounded by a massive scandal of a salacious nature, and it ultimately ended his nomination.

Rather than continue to be put under a microscope, Gaetz announced that he was going to withdraw his name from the confirmation process so as not to be a distraction for the administration, stating, "I remain fully committed to see that Donald J Trump is the most successful president in history.”

He continued, "I will forever be honored that President Trump nominated me to lead the Department of Justice and I'm certain he will save America."

Bongino resigns

Bongino was another surprise choice of Trump's, and while he did serve, he did not last very long in the administration.

After less than a year at his post, Bongino announced in December that he would be leaving the role to return to the private sector.

His time had been filled with some interesting twists and turns, including a reported fracture with Attorney General Pam Bondi.

Bongino was expected to revive his radio show and podcast, and everyone was on the edge of their seat to see what juicy information he might offer about the federal government.

Feuding

Bongino took exception to people who were in the conservative media taking shots at the Trump administration, calling them “black-pillers, life-losers, grifters and bums,” which clearly was in reference to people like Megyn Kelly and Gaetz, as well as individuals such as former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), who have challenged Trump's status as an America First president.

Gaetz then made a post asking Grok how Bongino did when he was a political candidate himself, subsequently noting that he lost all three elections in which he ran.

Bongino then replied, “Maybe if I spent more time at shady parties with monied insiders I would’ve won. I heard you’d know a bit about that. You’ve always been a d**k by the way. Grifting off your daddy like a suckling little doggie. When I first met you in the panhandle I knew you were a piece of s**t. It’s written all over that phony face of yours.”

I don’t recall these two feuding before, but it is game on now, and I would say that Bongino holds the edge. If I were Gaetz, I would just leave this one alone for a bit because Bongino strikes me as someone who is not to be played with or taken lightly.
