If you have ever watched Don Lemon, you know the man is about as partisan as it gets.
He was allowed to spew rhetoric on CNN for years, but it eventually caught up to him after he made some derogatory comments that went over the line.
Lemon just did it again, and journalist Megyn Kelly’s supporters are making sure everyone knows how much of a hypocrite he really is.
The downfall of Lemon started in 2023 when he made negative comments about aging women.
Lemon was criticizing Nikki Haley, who was running for president at the age of 51, after she made comments questioning the wisdom of having older candidates in the race.
He responded to Haley's remarks by stating, “A woman is considered to be in her prime in her 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.”
Lemon was forced to apologize; however, the damage was done, and people were calling for his head.
At that point, Lemon had already lost his primetime CNN show, and he was clearly unhappy about it, but now the network had the excuse it needed to cut him from the roster once and for all, which it did in April 2023.
Lemon claimed that he found out about his firing through his agent, as nobody at CNN reportedly reached out to him personally.
Kaitlan Collins, who had worked with Lemon on the morning show, responded, "Of course, Don was a big part of this show over the last six months. He was one of the first anchors on CNN to have me on his show -- that's something I'll obviously never forget.”
There were other tributes paid to Lemon on his way out the door, but there were also plenty of rumors that there was often behind-the-scenes turmoil due to his presence on the set. But, as usual, nobody would go on the record.
Lemon is openly gay and claims to be an LGBTQ+ advocate, yet he just used “trans” as an insult against Kelly. Concerning the independent podcaster, he stated, “I think she looks trans,” and when you frame it like that, it is clearly meant to be an insult.
Kelly’s supporters pounced, with Jeff Varner stating, “For a man who praises trans people, #DonLemon sure feels comfortable using trans as an insult.” Another person wrote, “The Left is using ‘Trans’ as an insult now?”
It once again shows the “rules for thee, but not for me” concept so often exhibited on the left.
I am waiting for Kelly to personally respond to the controversy, as I am sure it would be epic, as she never misses an opportunity like this to pounce. When she does, expect the fireworks to explode.
