Democrats have villainized the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the man who is serving as President Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan.
These agencies and Homan are doing nothing more than enforcing our border laws, but that somehow makes them all Nazis in the eyes of the Democrats and media.
The situation has now gotten to the point that Homan says he is terrified for his family after an effort was made by the mainstream media to dox them.
The attacks against Trump’s border agenda were immediate once he reclaimed the White House, and it was not just Democrats and the media lobbing bombs at Homan and ICE.
Just two months into the administration, U.S. Circuit Judge Patricia Millett made a horrific comment about immigration enforcement operations.
While referencing the deportation of alleged gang members, Millett stated, "There were no procedures in place to notify people. Nazis got better treatment under the Alien Enemies Act than has happened here.”
Homan responded, "It's disgusting… comparing this to the Nazis…. I don't even know what the comparison even means.”
In October, the administration announced that attacks against ICE agents had dramatically risen since the second Trump administration began and were up more than 1,000% from the prior year.
In addition to the attacks, there has been a concentrated effort by some media outlets and Democrats to dox ICE agents.
DHS announced, “In Texas, an ICE officer’s spouse received a call saying, ‘I don’t know how you let your husband work for ICE, and you sleep at night. F*** you, f*** your family. I hope your kids get deported by accident. How do you sleep? F*** you. Did you hear what happened to the Nazis after World War II? Because it’s what’s going to happen to your family.’”
That was just one story, and things have escalated to the point of physical threats being leveled against agents, including an incident that just took place outside of Chicago in which agents were boxed in with vehicles and threatened by rioters.
Homan just revealed that he has not been living with his family for months, as his loved ones are now in hiding over efforts to expose them.
He explained, “I have not lived with my wife since late March because of death threats against me. And now there’s reporters trying to find the location of my family. There are reporters trying to identify who my sons are. This has gone beyond the pale. It’s insulting.”
Homan continued, “And God bless the men and women of ICE and Border Patrol. When I go to bed every night, I say a prayer for every person out there wearing that shield, that they go home to their families.”
I just had this conversation with a liberal friend the other day. These agents are merely upholding the laws that are on the books. If you don’t like the laws, then hold your congressman and senator responsible, but don’t spit venom at people who are merely doing their jobs. All of this tension is due to Democrats' rhetoric, likening ICE to the Gestapo, calling them racist, etc. People are going to get hurt, possibly even killed, and when that blood spills, make no mistake about it, that blood will be on the hands of Democrats.
