And so it begins…
Now that Charlie Kirk is dead and gone, liberal leaders at American educational institutions are trying to destroy his legacy.
To that point, leaders at Rutgers University are now demanding that Turning Point USA (TPUSA) leaders be removed for having called out a professor for alleged links to ANTIFA.
Erika Kirk, Charlie’s widow, has vowed to take up his fight for conservative values in her husband's absence.
This week, Charlie Kirk was honored at the White House, receiving the highest civilian honor the country offers, that being the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
In accepting the award, Erika Kirk touted the relationship between Charlie Kirk and Trump, stating, "You are the heartbeat of this future and of this movement. Everything Charlie built lives through you."
She later added, "The very existence of the Presidential Medal of Freedom reminds us that the national interest of the United States has always been freedom.”
Karima Woodyard, director for student involvement and leadership at Rutgers, is now trying to have TPUSA officials removed from the school's chapter due to their efforts to expose a professor who was allegedly linked to ANTIFA.
Woodyard further stated that Megyn Doyle, a student at Rutgers and the treasurer for the Turning Point USA chapter, and Ava Kwan, the chapter’s outreach coordinator, are not eligible to serve as officers.
She wrote, "I wanted to bring to your attention that Megyn is a Newark student and Ava is a graduate student. Because your organization is classified as an undergraduate student organization for the New Brunswick campus, both individuals are ineligible to hold executive board positions within your group."
Woodyard added, "Please proceed with holding elections for those positions in accordance with your organization’s constitution to ensure compliance with university and student organization policies. Please let me know when this is done."
While these officers fight for their right to stay in place at Rutgers, Secretary of State Marco Rubio struck back against other critics, revoking the visas of individuals who celebrated Kirk's assassination online.
Six foreign nationals just had their visas revoked over comments made on social media after the conservative activist's death.
The State Department posted, “The State Department continues to identify visa holders who celebrated the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk. @POTUS and @SecRubio will defend our borders, our culture, and our citizens by enforcing our immigration laws. Aliens who take advantage of America’s hospitality while celebrating the assassination of our citizens will be removed.”
And before anyone says this is an attack on free speech, that is not the case. The impacted individuals were completely free to say whatever they wanted to say, but as I have stated before, free speech does not come without repercussions. You can always say what you want, but you had better be prepared to deal with the consequences if those words are out of bounds. And in this case, celebrating Kirk's murder was clearly deemed to be just that by Rubio.
