It took a couple of days before the Biden camp commented on the peace deal between Israel and Hamas, and now we know why.
They were all apparently huddling up, trying to figure out how they could make this about Joe Biden and steal Donald Trump’s thunder.
If you can believe it, Joe Biden and former Secretary of State Antony Blinken patted themselves on the back, claiming it was their framework that Trump used for the peace deal.
The peace deal was announced fewer than five days ago, with Hamas and Israel both signing off on the final details a few days later.
The big players were the United States and Egypt, with several other countries pitching in to get both parties on board with the deal.
Trump announced a 20-point plan, which was slated to begin with the return of Israeli hostages by Hamas, including those already dead, and the demilitarization of the Palestinian group.
I firmly believe that if Joe Biden or Kamala Harris had been in office, this deal never would have been made.
Now, if the Biden administration had truly played any role in this peace deal, one would think that Israel would have mentioned the fact, but that never happened.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, instead, gushed over Trump, stating, "No American president has ever done more for Israel. It ain’t even close."
He continued, "Thank you for supporting Operation Rising Lion and for your bold decision to launch Operation Midnight Hammer. Boy, you got to hear this -- this is the most fitting name ever given to a military operation, because a little after midnight, you really hammered them."
Let’s remember, it was Biden’s weak front and constant undermining of Israel that emboldened Hamas to attack in the first place, yet Biden had the audacity to take credit for the peace deal.
Biden posted to X, "The road to this deal was not easy. My Administration worked relentlessly to bring hostages home, get relief to Palestinian civilians, and end the war." His statement continued, "Now, with the backing of the United States and the world, the Middle East is on a path to peace that I hope endures and a future for Israelis and Palestinians alike with equal measures of peace, dignity, and safety.”
Former Secretary of State Blinken wrote a novel on X about the deal, in part, stating, "It starts with a clear and comprehensive post-conflict plan for Gaza. It’s good that President Trump adopted and built on the plan the Biden administration developed after months of discussion with Arab partners, Israel and the Palestinian Authority."
When Trump was asked about the comments, he laughed them off, stating, "Everybody knows it’s a joke. Look, they did such a bad job. This should have never happened." He continued, "If just a decent president -- not a great president like me -- if a decent president were in, you wouldn’t have had the Russia-Ukraine (war). This was bad policy by Biden and Obama."
I have yet to see anyone involved in this process, including the Palestinians, mention the Biden administration in their comments on the agreement. It’s comical, really, and now I can’t wait to see if the mainstream media buys into this narrative or just pays Biden no mind.
