Donald Trump living rent-free in Kamala Harris’ head

Former Vice President Kamala Harris is continuing her book tour and making media appearances to promote her recent memoir.

The indictment of former FBI Director James Comey and New York Attorney General Letitia James could not have been timed in terms of eliciting a public reaction from the former presidential hopeful.

Harris now seems to be spending more time talking about those indictments and about Donald Trump than about her own book.

Joe didn’t pick up

I don’t think it is a secret that the relationship between Harris and former President Joe Biden has remained strained after the two left office.

Harris' book blamed her loss on everyone but herself, and she pointed the finger of blame in large part toward Biden. And let’s face facts, their relationship was not exactly all strawberries and whipped cream when they were in the White House.

So, when Harris said that Joe didn’t bother to pick up the phone when she called to discuss his cancer diagnosis, it was not really a surprise.

Harris explained, “I called him earlier. I have not talked to him. I just left him a message after I heard the news.”

Heckling never ends

Someone must have advised Harris that a national book tour was a better idea than staying in the friendly confines of California and running for governor if she ever hoped to make another presidential run.

That advisor, whomever they may be, should be fired, as the heckling of Harris on this tour has been non-stop.

Newsweek reported, “The heckling shows that tensions about the previous administration's handling of tensions in the Middle East remain. Harris lost some support during the presidential election from pro-Palestinian advocacy groups who called on the Biden administration to impose an arms embargo on Israel in response to its attacks on Gaza since October 7, 2023.”

This is a big issue for Democrats, as they have largely backed themselves into a corner, and now that Trump has secured the Middle East ceasefire they have demanded, they have no idea what to say. They don’t want to give Trump the win, but this silence makes them look like warmongers.

Weaponizing the government

Why is it that when Democrats go after Republicans, the prevailing chant is that nobody is above the law, but when Republicans go after Democrats, they are accused of weaponizing the Justice Department?

During her most recent interview, that is precisely the rhetoric spewed by Harris, who stated, "I don’t know if we can trust what’s coming out of the Department of Justice right now. And that pains me to say that as someone who spent the majority of my career as a prosecutor, where the work of a prosecutor should be to do justice."

Harris added, "And when you have an administration and individuals who are manipulating the justice system of America, in that way, they best understand that this is not only about something that affects the individuals that they’re targeting. This affects all of us who believe that, flawed though it may be, that a justice system is actually supposed to be blind in the way that it does its work, not targeting people because of who they are, or for that matter, what they look like.”

I honestly cannot take Harris seriously after having dug very deeply into her time as a prosecutor, in which she was extremely aggressive against marijuana offenders while giving anyone and everyone connected to her or her allies a free pass. If you need evidence of that, look up the Herbalife, Catholic Church, and the Pacific Cement cases. If you want to see real political corruption, it does not get any worse than those scenarios and her handling of them.
