When the home of John Bolton, formerly a national security adviser for Donald Trump during his first term, was raided by the FBI, everyone lost their minds.
Among those most upset were those who remained silent when the homes of Trump officials and even the then-former president's own home were raided.
Well, the bounty collected during the Bolton raid has been revealed, and things are starting to get very interesting.
On the morning of Aug. 22, reports were breaking in most outlets that Bolton’s home had been raided.
The FBI announced that it was "conducting court-authorized activity in the area. There is no threat to public safety.”
While the media was blowing up, Attorney General Pam Bondi went on the offensive, stating, "America’s safety isn’t negotiable. Justice will be pursued. Always.”
FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino added, “Public corruption will not be tolerated.”
After news of the raid hit the wire, Democrats were outraged. The irony is that many of those outraged were the same ones who called for Bolton’s head when he was in the Trump administration, showing you just how much theater is involved in politics today.
Bolton also went off, blasting Trump’s foreign policy and publishing an op-ed in the Washington Examiner.
He wrote, "Collapsing in confusion, haste, and the absence of any discernible meeting of the minds among Ukraine, Russia, several European countries, and America, Trump’s negotiations may be in their last throes, along with his Nobel Peace Prize campaign.”
At this point, news as to why the FBI went after Bolton started to emerge, and we were informed that the raid was conducted in relation to Bolton’s alleged mishandling of classified information.
Reports broke earlier today regarding the fruits of the Bolton raid, and I have to admit, this is really starting to get quite interesting in terms of the former official possibly being guilty, but there is a bit more to it than just that.
We also learned that an investigation into Bolton was started under the Biden administration, but for some reason, it was shelved and left for the Trump administration to resume -- or not.
The documents today revealed that the FBI confiscated three computers, two iPhones, and a slew of documents, including one group labeled “statements and reflections to allied strikes.”
A senior FBI official went off on the Biden administration for delaying the investigation, stating, “The [Biden administration] had probable cause to know that he had taken material that was detrimental to the national security of the United States, and they made no effort to retrieve it. That was a friendly administration to [Bolton]. They kept bashing [Trump] the entire time for ‘weaponizing law enforcement,’ and they -- by politically stopping a righteous investigation -- are the ones who weaponized law enforcement.”
So, like I said, this is getting very interesting.
