Howard Lutnick made a great point today during Trump’s Cabinet meeting, noting that it is taxpayers who fund university research, yet we enjoy none of the fruits of its success. Why do schools own patents when we are paying for the research? It is anti-capitalist to say that, as taxpayers, those patents belong to us, not the schools and researchers?

“The genius of the Founders was that they understood human nature. They knew that power is dangerous in the hands of flawed men, which is all there is. It seems half the country, and one entire political party, has forgotten this basic truth."
“They act as if they can create a perfect society by giving imperfect people more power and more of our money. It has never worked, and it never will.”
I agree completely, and while our government is clearly flawed, it is far better than most if respected and run properly, which ours currently is not. Corruption has penetrated the government at every level, and that corruption needs to be exposed rather than written off as business as usual in D.C.
