Barack Obama often declared his administration to have been the only modern-day presidency without a scandal.
After Obama left office, however, it all started to come out to show that his administration was one of the most overreaching ones ever seen in this country.
One big issue during the Obama administration was the debanking of the Trump Organization, with more officials coming forward to reveal the pressure put on them by the then-president.
Not long after Trump took office, an investigation was revealed by Rep. French (R-AR) into Operation Choke Point 2.0.
The first version of this operation was conducted under the Obama administration, and Joe Biden revived the operation after Trump left office the first time around.
The operation was set to target the crypto industry, but it apparently went much further than that.
There was also a concentrated effort to pressure banks to stop doing business with the Trump family businesses.
In May, Donald Trump Jr. did an interview in which he revealed how the Trump family started to get involved in crypto.
He explained how the family had been debanked by major financial institutions, which led them to the crypto industry.
Trump Jr. explained, “We were real estate guys, we were hard assets, we built buildings -- [bitcoin] was a bit nebulous.”
He continued, “But once we got into that political sector...we were getting de-banked, we were getting de-insured, we were getting de-everything. It was brutal.”
Now that Obama and Biden are both out of the picture, officials are coming forward to reveal exactly what took place during those administrations and the pressure put on them by the two Democrat presidents.
One senior banking official told Fox News Digital, "Those pressures were very, very real. When your regulator gives you a suggestion, it’s not a suggestion, it’s an order. The political stuff is very real, those pressures are real.”
A second added, "When there’s ambiguity in the law, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and for a long time the beholder was the Obama and Biden administration.”
The report is rather eye-opening in terms of the political weaponization of the DOJ and the presidency in general, and I highly recommend you read it in full when you have the opportunity. Dems called Trump a conspiracy theorist over this, but it turns out, it was all true. I have honestly never seen such an effort launched out of pure fear of one man taking office... it just really makes you wonder what secrets the government has that officials were so worried about Trump revealing.
